In-Home Support Services (IHSS) is a Medicaid Waiver program in Colorado that allows eligible clients to receive care from family members or trusted individuals in the comfort of their own homes. IHSS includes Personal Care, Homemaker Services, and Health Maintenance Activities, such as medication administration and wound care.
To qualify, you must:
Be enrolled in a Medicaid Waiver like EBD, CHCBS, or CIH
Have a need for hands-on assistance with daily living
Be able to direct your own care or have an Authorized Representative
Better Care Agency will guide you through the full IHSS application and onboarding process.
No certification is required to become a caregiver through programs like IHSS or traditional Medicaid Waiver services. You’ll receive training and support from Better Care Agency to ensure you’re confident in your role and meet all state compliance requirements.
If you’re caring for a loved one who qualifies for Health Maintenance Activities, you’ll complete additional nurse-supervised training (and we help coordinate it at no cost to you).
